Once possessing a powerful singing voice, and virtuoso guitar skills, Richie first signed Lester in the early 1960’s. Having parted ways due to a business disagreement, a chance encounter in the South Bronx reignites their decade old feud.
Ato’s initial theatrical experience was done on a dare while studying chemical engineering at Cornell University. His first major role was Titambay in the indie film Garden State. This was followed by recurring TV roles on HBO’s Girls, CBS’s Elementary and Blue Bloods. He has also guest starred on several dozen other TV shows and appeared in numerous theatrical films. He has done turns in films like Django Unchained and Blood Diamond. Prior to HBO's Vinyl, he played the brilliant Dr. Matthew Freeman on BBC America’s gritty TV series Copper. Ato will be seen in 2016 in the latest Jason Bourne film which marks his first foray into the world of action films. On stage, Ato has worked with the best, including Meryl Streep, and appeared in the finest theaters on both coasts.
